ILO Visit of ALU Electrical Cooperative Union Presidents

23 June 2025 – ALU union presidents from five Eastern Visayas electric cooperatives met with ILO Country Director Khalid Hassan to discuss National Electrification Administration policies impacting workers’ rights to organize and bargain collectively.

ALU urged sustained social dialogue among workers, government, and businesses to ensure policies align with national labor rights laws and are shaped through peaceful negotiations.
